The first ever Directory of Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows was launched on October 26th 2003, at a Reception timed to coincide with the 15th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers, in Edinburgh.

The Directory is one of the largest undertakings of its kind for any international awards programme. It contains the names of almost 20,000 individuals who have held CSFP awards, and career profiles of over 1,800. Itself a product of Commonwealth collaboration, the publication was made possible by funding from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (UK) and Department for Foreign Affairs and International Trade (Canada).

Hard copies of the Directory have been distributed to a wide variety of government offices, Commonwealth organisations, High Commissions and universities. It is expected that a future edition of the Directory will be produced to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the CSFP in 2009.
